So friends, it’s officially November and for me that means it’s the start of the festive season! This year has been absolutely tough on just about everyone but I feel like 2020 is the year that we can really get behind Christmas and/or the holiday season. Goodness knows we all need a bit of fun. Don’t we? If you have festive events to attend, or are even just starting to think about what you’ll wear on Christmas day perhaps, I have a few ideas for you. Here’s what I’d wear for different festive event situations.
Beach Christmas
Go all out in linen. It’s the fabric of summer and thankfully it’s no longer seen as the garment of choice for senior citizens. Linen is having a major moment and it’s not hard to see why. It’s cool, it’s classic, it’s comfortable and it never dates. Grab a gorgeous linen dress; a pair of pants and a tank; or a linen shirt with a pair of linen shorts for a cool and casual take. Add Avarcas in a neutral or washed coral tone for a pop of colour and style. The espadrille platform on the Cora is perfect for teaming back with other natural fibres like linen.
The Catch Up Party
I love a bright print to bring a bit of fun to the holidays. After all, it’s all about bringing a smile to your dial, and 2020 is the year to do it! Go fun with a Christmas themed print, try a bright floral, or even a classic all red or green look. Just add glitter to bump up the fun factor.

Casual at Home
Keep it comfortable at home with a touch of gingham. If you don’t want to be too ‘Christmassy’ yet you want to be comfortable, cool and on trend, try a gingham dress, shirt, shorts or skirt for a fun and casual, yet polished look. Classic black and white gingham never goes out of style – add a pop of red with lipstick, a bag, some sunglasses or a hat for some fun. Finish the outfit with some black crossover flats.

So what do you think – are you going to dress it up or stay casual for the silly seasons biggest day?
